Obs offers comprehensive servicing and testing solutions for a range of pressure control equipment and rig handling equipment:
Initial Inspection: Before commencing any work, obs reviews all original documentation and service history to ensure they have a complete understanding of the equipment's condition and past maintenance.
Periodic Maintenance and Pressure Testing: Obs's routine servicing includes thorough maintenance and pressure testing as required. This involves stripdown, sandblasting, and inspection, including Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) to identify any flaws. We also measure dimensional tolerances during this process.
In-House Repair Capability: Obs has the capability to undertake BOP repairs in-house, following API requirements and OEM recommendations and
tolerances.
Quality Assurance: All repair work is conducted in accordance with obs's certified quality management system and also in line with API Spec Q1 standards.
This ensures adherence to high-quality standards and full traceability of services performed.
Collaboration with OEMs: Obs works closely with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for the 5-year major test and inspection, commonly known as
"re-certification” for BOP’s. Obs also acts as the ARLF (Authorised Repair Licensed Facility) for several manufacturers.
Workshop Services: Their workshop-based service includes various activities such as equipment wash-down, documented disassembly, refurbishment, replacement
and servicing of parts, bench testing (if applicable), pressure testing, and reapplication of paint.
Parts Supply: Obs relies on a trusted supply network to source and stock OEM-approved and API-certified spare parts, ensuring the quality and reliability of replacements.
