SORN (Bottom No-Go) Nipples
For those working in the oil and gas industry, utilisation of landing nipples (SORN bottom no-go) are commonplace. These devices enable the installation of valves, plugs, and other beneficial flow-control devices. SORN nipples are ideal for reducing pressures from flowing to the surface and aid with the installation of pressure or temperature recorders.
Model “SORN” Nipple is a bottom No-Go seating nipple designed for use in single nipple installations or as the bottom nipple when placed with a series of “SOR” landing nipples. This is due to the restricted internal dimension (No-Go) machined into the bottom of the landing nipple. This restriction has a smaller ID in comparison to the Seal Bore ID.
The Model “SORN” Profile Nipple can be used in heavy tubing applications, as the blanking plug offers a higher pressure rating than the normal weight tubing blanking plugs.
