Sentry Tubing Retrievable Subsurface Valve (TRSV)
The Sentry TRSV is a surface controlled tubing retrievable subsurface valve with ratings up to 10,000 psi (69 MPa) and 300°F (149°C). The Sentry TRSV utilises a single-piston premium seal actuator and a self-equalising metal to metal flapper closure seal plus a secondary soft seat.
The Sentry TRSV is a fail safe, normally closed downhole valve that will protect personnel and property against uncontrolled flow in the event of a catastrophic surface event. The flapper is held open with control line pressure and will close when the pressure is released. The self-equalising flapper design allows for an easy return to production.
The Sentry utilises premium metal to metal thread connections throughout the body for maximum reliability. There are only two body connections to reduce the amount of potential leak paths.
